sambut MOTHER'S DAY...is it wrong...???

hi there...juz wanna share some knowledge of life here...

Few weeks ago..a day before the whole world celebrated Mother's Day...we did some art and decoration class during the English period in school (hehe..although i m not dat good in art..but their outcomes were fantastic!!)...and i asked them to give the card to their mothers immediately after they woke up from bed..hehehe..~and on Monday...i asked my students to write a journal about Mother's Day celebration...

to my surprised, there is a girl wrote dat she didnt give the card to the mother because she was afraid...she wrote...

"my mum does not like to celebrate these kinda things..-including birthdays, mother's days, father's days..etc- ...my mum is an Islamic lady who go against those kinda celebrations...i wish i cud say 'happy mother's day' to her that morning...but my sister and i were both afraid...we had an experience where we got scold when we asked for a birthday celebration...sorry teacher...i did not do as what u asked me to do...but silently, i put the card in her bag..i dont know w/ther she has read that card or thrown it away...''

i was a bit angry for the mother's reaction, even i know she might have her very own reason or plural form,reasonS...but without any explanation y...to the kids..??hello...they are kiddies...dat make me feel sad...and please..dun let ur children be fear of you...so,i did write some encouragement words for her...i hid my feeling of anger and explain the maybes to her mother's reaction in a very positive way...
and i reminded her that,we have to celebrate mother's day, everyday...through good behaviours, get good results and b a good child...

i read this in one of HM TUAH ISKANDAR's book...

sejarah sambutan hari ibu...asalnya dari zaman ancient Greece, sbg penghargaan utk Rhea, the mother of Gods...tu zaman org purba...

1600- England celebrated it as 'mothering sunday', as a token of appreciation for all the mothers in England.

1907- Ms Ana Javis fought for her best to make mother's day a public holiday...began in Philadelphia, she succeeded in influencing the politicians about this matter...and...

1911- mother's day was celebrated in almost every state.

1914- President Woodraw Wilson made the official announcement proclaiming Mother's Day as a National Holiday, that was to be held each year on the second Sunday of May...

see...mula kat Eropah, popularized by the Americans, and now..the whole world celebrate Hari Ibu...termasuklah kita in Malaysia...mereka punya unsur religions, kita x campur...we have our own path..ingat..Tuhan perintahkan kita wat baik dengan ibu ayah kita. so, bl kita, org Islam sambut Hari Ibu, jangan samakan dgn cara org barat sambut...we have our own, pure n sincere mother's day celebration, demi ALLAH...bukan demi yg lain selain NYA...niat kerana DIA...

so...harap2 jelaslah kepada mereka yg x brapa nak jelas...
sambut Hari Ibu setiap hari...beramal dan berbuat baik kepada ibu setiap masa..itu perintah DIA yg maha ESA...igt..firman NYA..." kemarahan ku terletak pada kemarahan kedua org tuamu...kemaafan ku juga terletak pada kemaafan kedua org tua mu" bl kata sambut setiap hari...jgn pulak ade yg takut kne bagi hadiah hari-hari..huhuhu...bagi hadiah setahubn sekali, tapi hari2 kne ckp kat ibu 'ibu,i love you and i'm proud to have you as my mum!!!' ;)

pasal sambut birthday tu...buat lah cara kita...sambut dgn doa selamat and tanda syukur sbb masih dipanjangkan umur dan usia...

wassalam...~
